How to choose a suitable winding machine based on the stator

When choosing a motor stator winding machine, the following aspects need to be considered:
1. Direction of stator slot: According to the direction of the stator slot, it can be divided into two types: outward and inward. The stator with inward grooves generally uses internal winding equipment, while the stator with outward grooves mostly uses flying fork external winding equipment.
2. Outer diameter and inner diameter of stator: The applicable range of winding machines with different shapes or workstations also varies. The size of the outer diameter determines whether the winding machine can solve the winding problem. If the outer diameter exceeds the applicable range, the difficulty of winding will correspondingly increase, and customized equipment may be needed.
3. Stacking thickness of stator: That is, the height of the stator, and there is also a range of applicable heights. If it exceeds the applicable range, the difficulty of winding will increase. For example, for common drum brushless motor stators, some have a stack thickness exceeding 200mm. If the winding machine is not selected properly, it is easy to cause problems such as wire scraping, wire breakage, etc.
4. Size of enameled wire diameter: The thicker the wire diameter, the slower the winding speed. Single or dual station equipment should be used more to avoid wire damage; The smaller the wire diameter, the faster the winding speed. It is recommended to use four or six station equipment to avoid wire breakage.
5. Parallel winding situation: Ordinary winding equipment supports multiple wires for parallel winding. Flying fork winding machines can winding around 30 enameled wires with a diameter of less than 0.3mm in parallel. Internal winding machines generally support parallel winding of double, three, four wires, etc.
Overall, selecting a suitable winding machine requires comprehensive consideration of factors such as the type, specifications, and winding process requirements of the stator. This is to ensure the quality and reliability of the winding.
