The difference between brushless motor and brush motor

Brushless motors and brushed motors differ in the following ways:
1. Structure:
A brushed motor is mainly composed of a stator and a rotor. There are magnetic poles (windings or permanent magnets) on the stator and windings on the rotor. After electricity is added, a magnetic field (magnetic pole) will also be generated on the rotor. Under the action of the motor, the motor rotates. By changing the position of the brush, the angle of the stator and rotor magnetic poles can be changed (assuming that the direction of the rotor magnetic poles toward the stator magnetic poles is the direction of rotation of the motor), and the direction of rotation of the motor can be changed.

2. Speed regulation mode:
Brush motor speed control process is to adjust the motor power supply voltage level. The adjusted voltage and current are converted by the commutator and the brush to change the strength of the magnetic field generated by the electrode to achieve the purpose of changing the speed. The speed regulation process of the brushless motor is that the voltage of the motor power supply remains unchanged, and the control signal of the electric adjustment is changed. The microprocessor then changes the switching rate of the high-power MOS tube to realize the change of the speed.
3. Performance: The brush motor has simple structure, long development time, and mature technology. The brushless motor has the advantages of fast response speed, large starting torque, stable operation, and good braking effect.
In general, brushless motors and brushed motors have their own advantages. Brushless motors are suitable for equipment that requires high-speed response and efficient operation, while brushed motors are suitable for equipment that does not require high speed, but requires large starting torque and Good stability.
